What is Rush?
"Rush" is the term used by fraternal and sororal organizations to describe the period of time in which individuals can actively inquire more information about a certain Organization that they are interested in. Our Rush Week consists of a plethora of events in which we offer individuals a glimpse of what our Fraternity is about. We conclude our Rush Week by interviewing individuals who, after attending our Rush Week, continue to show ferverent interest in becoming an Ace. Upon completion of our interview process we will give bids to rushees who have proven to be determined, diligent, and respectable.

Why Rush?
Prior to deciding which fraternity to join or pledge for one should have a good understanding of what they are getting involved with. Rush offers just that. Our rush will give you a general overview of what our organization is about and will also give you a chance to get to know the Active members before make the final decision to pledge for our Fraternity.

If I rush does that mean I have to pledge?
Just because you attend our rush events it does not mean that you have to pledge for EiS. Take your attendance at our rush events as any other fun and rewarding experience.

What is the difference between rush and Pledge?
During rush you have no obligation, commitment, or affiliation with our organization. Rush is merely an early opportunity for us to get to know our rushees and for the rushes to get to know the Active members. In pledging for EiS, an individual will be expected to show a great level of commitment and dedication for an experience that they will willingly embark upon. EiS Pledges are expected to fulfill certain duties and responsibilities to the fraternity during their pledge process.

How much does it cost to attend rush or pledge for EiS?
Rush Week is free for all individuals who are interested in finding out more about EiS. However, for the EiS Pledge Process there will be a reasonably priced fee. Our pledge fee is reasonable in that 100% of the money that we accumulate will be redirected towards those who are pledging.

What does pledging consist of?
The Brothers of Epsilon Iota Sigma have pride in the fact that their Pledge Process is something of great benefit to all those who have gone through it. The extracurricular activities that we offer are most beneficial and rewarding to those who are ambitious and actively in pursuit of finding their true potential as human beings and as scholars. We offer a plethora of events in which there are limitless gains for all those who are willing to devote their time and their strength to.

Does EiS participate in hazing?
We do not participate in or initiate any form of hazing because we believe that it is detrimental to the development and growth of individuals who pledge for us. We do not believe in immersing our pledges into demeaning and potentially harmful activities. Instead, we focus on putting pledges in environments in which they can attain the highest levels of mental and physical growth.

Will pledging affect my grades?
Since we are an Academic and Career-based Fraternity we have structured our Pledge Process so that it is not detrimental to your academic success. Being that one of our mottos is that “Everything is possible, nothing is impossible” we believe that every tasks can be handled and completed so long as an individual has enough will power, determination, and commitment. We expect our pledges to have or strive for superb time management skills. Many of our Active members have proven to be very helpful to all the Pledge classes in assisting them with developing their time management skills.
